Our skin produces oil to protect itself from dirt and to keep itself moisturized. Our face, because it has the biggest pores, produces the most oil. Sometimes, if the oil on your face isn't properly cleaned off, it can result in pimples or other blemishes. Here are a couple ways to properly remove oil from your face.
Wash your face regularly. Try using cleansers and moisturizers that are oil free. Don't use anything that says it is for the use of dry skin, as it can make the oil even worse.
Consider toting around little oil absorbing sheets. You can buy them at the drugstore, and they're cheap. You pat them on your face during the day, and they soak up the oil on your face.
Try wearing mineral makeup or powder on your face. Using a powder will soak up any oil on your face and help to stop it from reoccurring during the day.
Tips
- Do not get anything that says it is to be used for dry skin! It will make the oil on your face worse.
- When applying any makeup, you're going to want to use clean brushes, cosmetic sponges, and always clean hands.
- Don't pack on the powder! You're just going to look like a fake-baker when you do that, and it's horrible for your skin if you put on too much makeup.
